Cell Phone At The Crime Scene

Actually I am not sure how true this story is, but nevertheless it does show you how useful telephone numbers searches really are.

Allegedly there was a young 18-year-old man who decided to go on a bit of a crime spree where he burgled a few houses. Moving from one house to the next, taking or a desired he made only one small error.

In one of the houses he burgled he left his cell phone behind. Whether this fell out of his pocket or he was actually making a call and placed it down somewhere is not clear in the story I have read.

However when the homeowners returned to find that there were ransacked house they discovered the unusual cell phone. The house owner simply called his own phone from the burglars phone to retrieve its number, then he went to a reverse phone directory on his computer and type in the suspicious cellphone number straight into the search box.

Within seconds the name and address of the burglar was pinged up onto the computers monitor!

Then one simple phone call to the police resulted in a squad car waiting at the burglars addressed before he even made it back home with his bag of swag! Can you imagine the look on the 18 year olds face when he saw his welcome home party?

The best news is that the people who had their homes burgled and all of them missing goods back in their hands the same night.

Obviously phone number searches are incredibly useful!
